This authorization is basically a way for Madison Holly to have a lab coat and some essentials. It sounds pretty dumb, but there is a backstory behind it.
Madison Holly worked at a small company that researched and studied hydroponics. She worked with a small team that studied what nutrients and techniques to use when plants were placed in certain areas such as gravel, sand, or liquid. Since hydroponics was advancing agriculture in many ways, Madison Holly founded herself into the research team. She studied and experimented with the different types of nutrients that plants vitally needed. She also looked into what other benefits different types of unusual nutrients plants could use. During her job, she received an outfit that separated her from the different teams in the company. She was handed down a lab coat that fit her size and had the company's title on her left breast area. She wore the lab coat in a humble manner, containing her pride as it would affect her job.
During her research she found that other minerals such as sand, gravel, and much more did not contain the nutrients plants needed. She took the time to place plants into the minerals and supply the appropriate amounts of nutrients to the plants that abide in the sand. To her surprise, it worked. Of course, everyone knew this thus hydroponics was created, but the idea of it actually working surprised her. Her research in the greenhouse began to advance as she thought of different nutrients that plants could use.
The primary nutrients . . .
Nitrogen
Phosphorus
Potassium
Secondary nutrients . . .
Calcium
Magnesium
Sulfur
Micro nutrients . . .
Boron
Copper
Iron
Chloride
Manganese
Zinc
Molybdenum
She knew the micro nutrients would kill the plants if given large amounts. She kept the amounts at a small rate, in little quantities. Once the war struck, she found that if she kept everything here, her work would be a waste. She packed her lab coat and the supplements the plants needed into a small, portable suitcase. She continues to carry the suitcase with her, the items still waiting to be used.
